Red Rocks PTA is an organization that supports teachers, parents, and students through various activities and educational opportunities. Parental involvement is extremely important to the academic success of a child and we are very fortunate to have so many parents that are willing to volunteer within and outside the classroom.
Red Rocks PTA organizes many community events throughout the school year. These include favorites such as: Outdoor Summer Movie, Pumpkin Carving Contest, Donuts with Dad, Muffins with Mom, Paint on the Rocks, Spring Carnival and more.
In addition to our community events, the PTA works closely with the school to bring opportunities to our students that enrich their Red Rocks experience. These opportunities include coordinating before and after school clubs, the annual Reflections Art Program, author visits and curriculum enhancements from organizations like the Children’s Museum.
PTA also supports Red Rocks teachers by giving financial assistance for classroom needs and showing our appreciation through special breakfasts and dinners. Red Rocks PTA communicates to parents and teachers via the weekly Red Rocks Raccoon newsletter, our website, Friday folders, Instagram and Facebook. The Red Rocks Elementary PTA Facebook group is a closed group to ensure that all members are part of our community. Please send us a request for an invitation to the Facebook group.
Red Rocks parents and teachers are exceptionally welcoming and are always open to new ideas on how to improve our children’s education and extracurricular activities. Speak Out: The PTA is the largest children’s advocacy group in the United States. As such, it offers a central voice for families and parents throughout the country on education issues that affect public policy and legislation. Your membership helps the National PTA to stay strong and support programs affecting our children, teachers and schools.
Speak Up: Participating in our PTA is an effective way to suggest changes at Red Rocks and to be involved in making them happen.
Receive Access to Great Resources: The national, state and county PTA websites provide great information on topics ranging from parenting skills, children’s academic success, bullying prevention, and everything in between.
