To the Red Rocks Elementary School community,

Thank you for all of your time and effort this past trimester. Earlier in the year, I wrote to you about a volunteer hour documentation program. A wonderful thing about my presidency is the fact that I get a chance to see the UNITED effort we all contribute for our children. Quite frankly, I am astonished at ALL you do! PTA is now actively pursuing grants. I am working with Pat Harrod on applying for a grant to support our wonderful Healthy Lifestyles program that Pat and numerous volunteers work to support. I have heard about possible grant money requests to repair our Arts Around collection and for repair of musical instruments. So I am asking you to send in your hours for the first trimester.

Thank you to those proactive people who have already submitted volunteer hours and here's an opportunity for those of you who would like to help. (If you used my first form, that is great… send it in and use this one for next trimesterJ ) Remember that volunteerism is in a variety of forms; classroom support, book orders, hearing clinic or library work, helping at school activities such as judging pumpkins, handing out ribbons at the fun run, baking or shopping for class parties. We appreciate it…please write it down. In particular, Pat and I are trying to document volunteerism for athletic events such as the Fun Run, Soccer Night, Mileage Club, Jump Rope Club, Tae Kwon Do, (Last year Field Day, Fitness testing) etc.

This volunteer hour documentation is VOLUNTARY and it may help us receive monies to enhance our wonderful school and the lives of your children. Thank you!
