PTA/Accountability Meeting Raccoon Summary – Oct. 13, 2004
* PTA has distributed teacher grants in the amount of $100 for
full time teachers and $50 for part time teachers. This money assists
teachers in getting items for their classrooms that the school budget
may not allow. (The printed amounts of $200 for full time and $100
for half time teachers were incorrect in the September Raccoon.)
* PTA membership has now reached 200 members. Our goal is to have
202 members for the 2004-2005 school year. Parents, grandparents
and business members are all welcome to join!
* Volunteers are still needed for Arts Around presentations. Remember,
no experience is necessary. Prints, presentation ideas and information
are provided. A sign up sheet is located in the music room. Contact
Monika Barlock or Christine Jones for more information.
* We are getting close to meeting our goal of 100% parental involvement!
* Congratulations to Kathy Talyai for winning a certificate to The
Blue Cow restaurant in Morrison. This was the first drawing of the
Volunteer Hour forms turned in to the treasure box in the lobby.
Remember to track your volunteer hours and return your form by Friday
before the next meeting to be entered into the monthly drawing.
* Reflections entries are due Oct. 28th. Remember to pick up forms
in the office or online at jeffcoweb.jeffco.k12.co.us/elem/redrocks
to enter this national program of arts recognition. Categories include
visual arts, photography, musical composition and literature. Contact
Guen Sublette for more information.
* Please join us at our first parenting workshop on Oct. 26th at
6:30pm. Guest speaker, Barbara Anderson, will talk about how much
parents should be helping with homework and good study habits. Light
refreshments will be provided.
* Red Rocks water bottles are still available for purchase for $8
each or 2 for $15.
* School Directories were distributed this week. If you ordered
one and did not receive one, contact Kathi Frymier. There are a
